ROME – Pope Francis’s condition remains stable as he continues his recovery from pneumonia at a hospital in Rome, according to a medical update released on Saturday evening.

The bulletin reported steady progress over the past week. While the Pope is still receiving high-flow oxygen therapy, his reliance on non-invasive mechanical ventilation at night has decreased gradually.

His ongoing recovery is supported by medical treatment, as well as physical therapy for both motor and respiratory functions. However, he remains under hospital care.

Vatican sources have noted that, given his age, the recovery from double pneumonia is expected to be slow, and updates may become less frequent. They emphasized that the 88-year-old pontiff requires ample time to regain his strength.

Pope Francis has been receiving care at Gemelli Hospital since February 14.
