MANILA — As the controversial televangelist Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy continues to snub congressional hearings and elude the United States’ Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), his best friend former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte has been named as the administrator of properties of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC).
On Friday (8 March 2024), Sonshine Media Network Inc. (SMNI), KOJC’s media arm, announced Duterte’s appointment as KOJC administrator.
No other details were provided by SMNI.
Quiboloy also serves as spiritual adviser of the feisty former president.
This came on the heels of a California judge’s order to unseal the arrest warrants against self-proclaimed “Appointed Son of God” Quiboloy who founded the KOJC in Duterte’s bailiwick Davao City.
Quibuloy’s church claims to have about 2 million “Kingdom citizens” abroad and 4 million in the Philippines.
Based on Wikipedia, the charges against Quiboloy and co-accused Helen Panilag and Teresita Tolibas Dandan include conspiracy to engage in sex trafficking by force, fraud, coercion, sex trafficking of children, conspiracy, and cash smuggling.
