MANILA — ACT Teachers’ Party-list Representative France Castro on Tuesday (18 Mar 2025) urged former presidential spokesperson Harry Roque to return to the Philippines.
Castro made the statement after Roque announced that he would seek asylum in The Netherlands.
“Well, sasabihin ko sa kanya, mars, umuwi ka na rito at harapin mo ‘yung mga tinatanong ng quadcomm dito at i-clear mo ‘yung sarili mo muna dito bago ka mag-abo-abogado kay dating presidente Duterte,” she said.
Roque was invited to the House of Representatives’ quad committee hearings for his alleged involvement in the illegal Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGOs) in the country.
After being “unseen,” Roque made his public reappearance when he visited Duterte in The Hague after the latter’s arrest due to alleged crimes against humanity.
He was accompanied by Vice President Sara Duterte and Senator Robin Padilla when he visited the former president.
