MANILA — Scattered rainfall is expected over Eastern Visayas and Caraga regions, attributed to the influence of easterlies prevailing across the eastern portions of the country, as announced by the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Friday.
Cloudy skies with intermittent rain showers and thunderstorms are anticipated in these areas, with the possibility of moderate to heavy downpours that could trigger flash floods or landslides.
Meanwhile, the northeast monsoon affecting extreme Northern Luzon will bring partly to mostly cloudy conditions with isolated light rain showers over Batanes and the Babuyan Islands.
Metro Manila
For the rest of the nation, including Metro Manila, expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies with occasional isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies and localized convective activity. PAGASA cautions that severe thunderstorms may lead to flash floods or landslides in susceptible areas.
Moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough coastal waters are forecasted for the eastern seaboards, while the rest of the archipelago will experience light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas.
Temperature projections are as follows: Metro Manila, ranging from 23°C to 32°C; Baguio City, 16°C to 23°C; Laoag City, 21°C to 31°C; Legazpi City, 24°C to 28°C; Metro Cebu, 25°C to 30°C; Puerto Princesa City, 25°C to 32°C; and Metro Davao, 25°C to 33°C.
