MANILA – The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) and easterlies will bring cloudy skies and scattered rain showers over various parts of the country, according to the latest update from the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
In its 4 AM bulletin, PAGASA reported that the Bicol Region, Visayas, Caraga, Northern Mindanao, and the Zamboanga Peninsula will see cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms. Residents in these areas are advised to prepare for possible flash floods or landslides, especially during periods of moderate to heavy rainfall.
Meanwhile, the easterlies will affect the Cordillera and Ilocos regions, Cagayan Valley, and Central Luzon, bringing partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience similar weather patterns, with partly cloudy to cloudy skies and isolated rain showers, also due to the ITCZ. Severe thunderstorms in these regions may also cause flash floods or landslides.
Additionally, moderate to strong winds are expected in the northern and western sections of Northern and Central Luzon, accompanied by moderate to rough coastal waters. The rest of the country will experience light to moderate winds and calmer seas.
