MANILA — Fair weather accompanied by isolated rain showers is anticipated across the Philippines today Sunday (24 March 2024) according to the state weather bureau.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said Eastern Visayas and Caraga regions will encounter cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to easterlies.

Meanwhile, in Metro Manila and other parts of the country, easterlies combined with localized thunderstorms may lead to partly cloudy to cloudy conditions with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.

PAGASA weather specialist Rhea Torres noted that aside from easterlies, no other weather system is expected to affect the Philippines, ensuring generally fair weather conditions for the day.

Moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough coastal waters are forecasted for northern and eastern regions, while elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate with slight to moderate coastal waters.

Temperature-wise, Metro Manila is expected to range from 25°C to 33°C, Baguio City from 16°C to 24°C, Laoag City from 24°C to 32°C, Legazpi City from 24°C to 32°C, Metro Cebu from 26°C to 32°C, Puerto Princesa City from 24°C to 32°C, and Metro Davao from 25°C to 33°C.

MANILA – According to the latest bulletin from the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), the easterlies are expected to maintain their influence, resulting in cloudy skies and occasional showers across various regions of the country.

According to Pagasa’s update on Saturday (23 March 2024), Aurora, Quezon, and Camarines Norte are anticipated to experience cloudy conditions accompanied by scattered rain showers and possible thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila and other parts of the nation can expect a mixture of partly cloudy to overcast skies, with isolated instances of rain showers or thunderstorms.

Moderate to strong winds, alongside moderate to rough coastal waters, are forecasted for the eastern areas of the country. Conversely, lighter to moderate winds are expected across the rest of the archipelago, with seas ranging from slight to moderate.

Temperature-wise, Metro Manila will see a range of 25°C to 31°C, Baguio City 15°C to 23°C, Laoag City 23°C to 32°C, Legazpi City 24°C to 32°C, Metro Cebu 26°C to 31°C, Puerto Princesa City 25°C to 32°C, and Metro Davao 25°C to 33°C.

MANILA — Cloudy conditions and sporadic rainfall are expected across various regions of the Philippines today, as both the northeast monsoon or “amihan” and the easterlies influence the weather patterns, according to the latest update from the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) issued at 4 a.m. on Wednesday (20 March 2024).

Eastern Visayas, Sorsogon, and Masbate will experience cloudy skies accompanied by scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the easterlies, while Cagayan Valley, Apayao, and Kalinga should anticipate cloudy conditions with rain brought about by the northeast monsoon.

PAGASA has cautioned residents in these areas to remain vigilant for possible flash floods or landslides, especially during periods of moderate to heavy rainfall.

Aurora and Northern Quezon will also witness cloudy skies with light rains as a result of the “amihan” effect.

Elsewhere, Metro Manila, as well as the Cordillera region, Central Luzon, Calabarzon, and the Ilocos Region, can expect a mix of partly cloudy to cloudy conditions with isolated light rains.

The rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies and localized thunderstorm activity, PAGASA noted.

Northern Luzon is anticipated to encounter strong winds and rough coastal waters, while the remainder of the archipelago will experience light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas.

Temperature-wise, Metro Manila is expected to range from 24°C to 31°C; Baguio City, 15°C to 23°C; Laoag City, 24°C to 31°C; Legazpi City, 25°C to 31°C; Metro Cebu, 25°C to 31°C; Puerto Princesa City, 25°C to 32°C; and Metro Davao, 25°C to 34°C.
