With the start of the short campaign period for the coming Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections kicking off tomorrow, Thursday, 19 October 2023, the printing of campaign materials and other election-related paraphernalia dominated the workload of printing offices as shown in the featured image taken Wednesday, October 18, 2023, in Quezon City.
The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) issued another memorandum, cautioning BSKE candidates for the October 30, 2023 elections, that distributing campaign materials is considered a form of vote-buying and may result in disqualification.
The COMELEC’s memorandum also addresses the use of improperly sized campaign materials, billboards, tarpaulins, and individual posters exceeding two by three feet in designated poster areas.
