Manila – According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), a mixture of partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers is expected across most regions of the country on Sunday.

In its 4 a.m. bulletin, PAGASA reported that areas including Masbate, Sorsogon, Visayas, Northern Mindanao, Caraga, and Davao Region will encounter cloudy skies accompanied by scattered rain showers and thunderstorms.

This weather phenomenon is attributed to the shear line or trough of a low-pressure area, positioned approximately 465 kilometers east of Surigao City, Surigao del Norte.

Meanwhile, Cagayan Valley, the remaining parts of the Bicol Region, and Apayao are anticipated to experience cloudy skies with light rains.

In Metro Manila and other Luzon areas, partly cloudy to cloudy skies with light rains are forecasted due to the influence of the northeast monsoon or amihan.

For the rest of Mindanao, partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms are expected.

Luzon and the eastern sections of Visayas will confront strong winds heading northeast, resulting in rough coastal waters.

Conversely, the remainder of the country will encounter light to moderate winds blowing northeast to north, accompanied by slight to moderate seas.

Temperature-wise, Metro Manila is expected to range from 24°C to 31°C, Baguio City from 14°C to 23°C, Laoag City from 21°C to 29°C, Legazpi City from 24°C to 29°C, Metro Cebu from 26°C to 29°C, Puerto Princesa City from 25°C to 31°C, and Metro Davao from 25°C to 32°C.
