MANILA — Following the directive of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, the Toll Regulatory Board has approved the Philippine Reclamation Authority’s (PRA) resolution to implement a 30-day free passage on Cavitex tollways.

This means that from July 1 to July 30, 2024, toll barriers will be lifted at the toll booths, so motorists’ RFID load will not be deducted, and no charges will be collected at cash lanes.

This initiative will be carried out by PEA Toll Corporation, the operator of Cavitex.

CAVITEX is the only tollway that is 100 percent government-owned.

CIC is responsible for infrastructure development and financing.

President BBM has shown that in the Bagong Pilipinas, the people come first. Although the administration recognizes the importance of the private sector in projects involving the government, the interest of the public remains a priority for BBM.

PRA Chairman Atty. Alex Lopez also expressed his gratitude to the local government of Cavite, led by Gov. Jonvic Remulla, and to Senator Bong Revilla for their support.

It is estimated that over 170,000 vehicle passages, carrying hundreds of thousands of passengers will benefit from this toll holiday.
