MANILA — Senator Raffy Tulfo criticized the lack of readability of the Passenger Bill of Rights posted in airports, emphasizing the importance of ensuring passengers know their rights.

“There are posters, but they’re placed in obscure corners, like under staircases or on the sides where passengers don’t pass by, making them unreadable. It isn’t very encouraging. They should be visible to passengers,” Tulfo said.

“So when issues arise, passengers know what to do, and they know their rights,” he added.

In related news, Tulfo previously pushed for the removal of the travel tax for economy-class passengers and stated that he would file a bill on the matter.

“Passengers in first and business class will still be required to pay the so-called luxury tax,” noted the Chairperson of the Senate Committee on Public Services.

Under current law, only Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs), infants, and government officials and employees on official travel are exempt from the travel tax.
