MANILA — Senator Cynthia Villar led the first Pride Month celebration in Las Piñas City, recognizing the beauty and excellence of the LGBTQIA+ community.

“We are celebrating the different sexual orientations, gender identities, and expressions, which encourage acceptance and respect in our city,” Villar said.

Joining her at the event were Senator Mark Villar, Deputy House Majority Leader Camille Villar, city councilors, and barangay officials.

“Today, we are happy to be together to appreciate the significance and beauty of our differences,” she added.

The Pride Parade, according to Senator Villar, brought vibrant ‘colors and glitters’ to the streets. The shouts and appreciation from the participants added energy and inspiration, signaling “there is unity and love in diversity.”
