Vice President Sara Duterte-Carpio encouraged Filipino Muslims to embrace humility, forgiveness, deepen their faith, and uphold the teachings of the Quran as she joined them in their celebration.
In her Eid al-Fitr message, Duterte-Carpio also expressed gratitude for their dedication and faith, which serve as inspiration to others.
“Nawa’y patuloy nating isabuhay ang mga aral ng Qur’an at ni Propetang Muhammad, at itaguyod ang kabutihan sa ating kapwa,” she stated.
“Sa kabila ng ating pagkakaiba, ang pagkakaisa, paggalang, at pagmamahal sa ating bansa ay napakahalaga,” the Vice President emphasized.

President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. declared this day a holiday to “the entire Filipino nation to join their Muslim brothers and sisters in peace and harmony in the observance and celebration of Eid’l Fitr.”
