MANILA — The Department of Budget and Management (DBM) has released funds allocated for salary adjustments for government employees this year.
According to the DBM, a total of P31.93 billion has been released to 257 departments and agencies, with an additional 58 agencies currently in the process of receiving their funds.
“We are doing everything we can to release the budget to all agencies as soon as possible. This is what our colleagues in government have been waiting for,” DBM Secretary Amenah Pangandaman said.
Pangandaman also urged department and agency heads to promptly distribute the salary differential, as the increase is retroactive to January of this year.
In addition, Pangandaman announced the creation of the Salary Standardization Law VI (SSL VI) dashboard, a tool designed to provide real-time data on budget releases for improved monitoring and oversight.
“This dashboard reflects our commitment to transparency and open government. We want the public and stakeholders to be informed and updated in real-time about our budget releases,” the Budget Secretary emphasized.
