MANILA – The easterlies are forecasted to usher in cloudy skies accompanied by scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Northern Mindanao, Caraga, and the Davao Region, according to the latest update from the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) issued on Friday 23 Feb 2024).
PAGASA cautioned that moderate to occasionally heavy rains may trigger flash floods or landslides in these areas, prompting residents to stay vigilant and take necessary precautions.
Meanwhile, Metro Manila and other parts of the country are expected to experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies, with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the influence of easterlies and localized atmospheric conditions.
In terms of wind and sea conditions, moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough coastal waters are anticipated over extreme Northern Luzon, while the remainder of the archipelago will experience light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas.
Temperature-wise, Metro Manila is expected to range from 25°C to 32°C; Baguio City, 15°C to 26°C; Laoag City, 22°C to 30°C; Legazpi City, 24°C to 30°C; Metro Cebu, 25°C to 31°C; Puerto Princesa City, 25°C to 32°C; and Metro Davao, 24°C to 32°C.
