MANILA — Senator Imee Marcos announced on Thursday (14 March 2024) that her mother, former First Lady Imelda Marcos, has been discharged from the hospital.
“[She] was discharged yesterday (Wednesday)… She will be taking some oral medications [and] resting at home,” the lady lawmaker said.
Imelda was hospitalized due to suspected pneumonia after experiencing a cough and fever.
Earlier, President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. had indicated that his mother would be discharged from the hospital on Thursday.
