MANILA – Rains will prevail across the country due to the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) and easterlies, according to the weather bureau on Friday (04 Oct 2024).

Scattered rains and thunderstorms are expected in the Bicol Region, Zamboanga Peninsula, and the Visayas because of the ITCZ.

The easterlies, meanwhile, will bring isolated rain showers and thunderstorms to the Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, and Central Luzon.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) noted that the rest of the country will also experience isolated rain showers and thunderstorms due to the ITCZ.

Moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough seas are forecast over the northern and western sections of Northern and Central Luzon. PAGASA advised mariners operating small sea vessels, including motorized bancas, to avoid venturing out to sea under these conditions.

Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate with slight to moderate seas.
