MANILA – On March 28, Department of National Defense (DND) Secretary Gilberto Teodoro Jr. will meet with U.S. Department of Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth at Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City.
This marks their first in-person meeting, following a phone call in February where both leaders expressed optimism about strengthening the defense relationship between the two nations.
Teodoro shared that their upcoming discussions would focus on enhancing bilateral, trilateral, and multilateral defense cooperation, including collaboration between the Philippines and the U.S.
The meeting is part of Hegseth’s regional visit, which will also include stops in Hawaii, Guam, and Japan.
