MANILA – The Caraga and Davao Region are forecasted to experience cloudy skies accompanied by scattered rain showers and thunderstorms attributed to the trough of a low-pressure area (LPA), the weather bureau reported on Wednesday.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) issued a bulletin at 4 a.m., warning of potential flash floods or landslides in these regions due to moderate to occasionally heavy rainfall.
Meanwhile, the rest of Mindanao can expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies and localized thunderstorms, according to PAGASA.
On another note, the northeast monsoon or “amihan” will bring cloudy skies with light rains over Cagayan Valley and Aurora, alongside partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Metro Manila, the remaining parts of Luzon, and the entire Visayas region.
Moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough coastal waters are anticipated over Luzon, Visayas, and the eastern sections of Mindanao. Conversely, the rest of Mindanao is expected to experience light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas.
Temperature projections for various areas are as follows: Metro Manila, 22°C to 32°C; Baguio City, 14°C to 24°C; Laoag City, 21°C to 33°C; Legazpi City, 24°C to 30°C; Metro Cebu, 25°C to 31°C; Puerto Princesa City, 25°C to 32°C; and Metro Davao, 24°C to 30°C.
