MANILA – The entire nation is set to enjoy favorable weather conditions on Sunday, despite the presence of a low-pressure area (LPA) located outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility, as reported by the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
In their 4 a.m. weather update, PAGASA revealed that the LPA, positioned 1,235 kilometers east of Mindanao, will not directly impact any part of the Philippines.
Regions including Ilocos, Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, and Aurora can anticipate partly cloudy to cloudy skies, with occasional light rainfall attributed to the northeast monsoon or “amihan.”
Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies, with sporadic rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorm activity and the influence of the LPA’s trough.
In Northern Luzon, moderate winds are expected, blowing from the northeast, with moderate coastal waters.
For the rest of the country, light to moderate winds will prevail, coming from the northeast to northwest, and seas will be generally slight to moderate.
Temperatures are forecasted to range between 25.3 °C and 32.6 °C.
